Kerrville Inclusive Playground Fundraiser
Dear Friends,
Our beloved Kerrville community suffered immense devastation from the floods on July 4th. The impact has been overwhelming, with significant loss of property, vital infrastructure, and—most tragically—lives. It is particularly heart-wrenching to think of the precious children affected by these events.
As a part of our cycling community, it has come to my attention that Kerrville's only inclusive playground, a cherished space for so many children, has been completely destroyed. This playground, which replaced a 30 year old structure, opened its doors in April 2025 and it was a vibrant sanctuary for kids, offering joy and friendship. Its absence is a profound loss felt deeply throughout our community, leaving them with no nearby parks along the river where children can play and thrive.
In light of this tragedy and in partnership with Hill Country Bicycle Works and the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country, Women Empowerment Cycling is dedicated to helping with the fundraising efforts to rebuild this vital playground.
The Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country will ensure that all donations are managed responsibly, making every contribution tax-deductible and specifically directed to the playground's reconstruction.
No amount is too small; whether you can contribute $5 or $10,000, every dollar makes a difference. Please consider donating by entering your desired amount under “Other Amount” at the link.
Thank you for your kindness and consideration during this incredibly challenging time. The inclusive playground is so crucial for the children of Kerrville, and rebuilding it would serve as a beacon of hope, reminding us of our resilience and ability to come together as a community.
With heartfelt appreciation,
Analia
